Information we collect
When you submit a tip or contact form, we collect the subject, message, and any email address you choose to provide. Polls record your selected answer and a session indicator to reduce repeat voting. Login and submission abuse controls store a one-way hash of an IP address for limited periods, rather than the raw address. Standard hosting logs may collect technical request information.
How we use information
We use submissions to review story ideas, respond when appropriate, moderate messages, secure the website, and administer polls. Submissions are not automatically published. Advertising links may lead to third-party sites governed by their own policies.
Cookies and embedded media
We use essential session cookies for security, login and poll participation. YouTube videos may set cookies or collect data when played; embeds use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain. No analytics or advertising tracking is enabled in this V1 package by default.
Retention and access
Editors and moderators with permission can access submissions. Administrators may archive or redact submitted messages. Rate-limit records are pruned as the system operates. Backup copies and hosting logs may persist according to hosting policies; define a formal retention schedule before launch.
Your choices
Do not include sensitive personal information in submissions. To request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied, use the contact form and provide enough context to identify your submission.
